The International Bar Association (IBA) is a global organization that connects the legal community and actively contributes to the development of international legislation. With members from over 170 countries, the IBA is the premier platform for discussing and shaping the future of the legal profession. The annual conference offers a unique opportunity to deepen legal knowledge, exchange ideas, and build new international relationships.

Throughout the conference week, Holla legal & tax will participate in a variety of meetings with international partners, legal colleagues, and affiliated firms. Our presence underscores our international ambitions and our commitment to providing high-quality legal services across borders.

The Holla legal & tax delegation consists of experienced professionals, each with their own area of expertise:

• Robert Gebel, managing partner and part of the Real Estate & Government practice group. With over 28 years of experience as a lawyer in project development and civil construction law, he has been involved in various (international) real estate projects.
• Luuk Jonker, managing partner of Finance, is our intellectual property specialist. As head of the Intellectual Property, IT & Privacy team, he is an expert in trademark and copyright law.
• Janina Maduro is partner Financing, Securities & Insolvency. She has extensive international experience, and her command of English, French, and Spanish makes her an excellent interlocutor for foreign parties.
• Michiel Mak, managing director, focuses primarily on international alliances, strategy development, and change management. He previously gained experience at, among others, Deloitte Legal and De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
