Lawyer
Maarten Peters
Maarten is part of the team of government specialists and focuses primarily on legal matters in the cross-over area between public and private law. He specialises in procurement, subsidies, state aid, government privatization law and the Open Government Act. He advises and litigates for both (semi-)public authorities and private parties in disputes in these areas of law. His particular interest lies in government liability law, as this is where administrative law and compensation law converge. Examples include loss compensation (planning damage), decision liability, incorrect provision of information and whether or not the government honors legitimate expectations.
Because of his in-depth knowledge of public and private law, Maarten is able to quickly grasp the issues involved and to advise on them adequately. Maarten is a critical lawyer with an eye for detail. He does not shy away from a complex case. A personal approach and the underlying goals of the client are his main focus.
Maarten regularly publishes articles in the trade press.
