Rutger Smit

Rutger has been working at Holla in the Real Estate and Government section since March 2024. He is part of the team of government specialists and primarily handles matters for businesses and government entities at the intersection of private and public law. Rutger specializes in government contracts, procurement law, and the application of the Didam ruling, subsidy law, state aid, and government liability.

Rutger is a sharp legal professional with knowledge and experience in legal practice. During his Togamaster internship, he worked at the Court of Appeal and subsequently as a clerk. Additionally, Rutger is well-versed in the operations of local governments, having been actively involved with a water board, province, and municipality.
