Marloes Stuurop

Since July 2019, Marloes Stuurop has been associated with Holla legal & tax, where she was appointed partner in the Employment Law practice group as of 1 July 2026. Marloes advises and litigates on a broad range of employment law matters and assists both national and international employers in complex, often strategically sensitive cases.

She has developed particular expertise in labour migration law, international employment law, and enforcement matters involving the Dutch Labour Inspectorate, including administrative fines and formal warnings. Marloes has extensive experience in handling matters that involve the intersection of multiple areas of law, such as cross-border employment, the engagement of migrant workers, and compliance issues relating to employment legislation.

In addition, she advises on reorganisations, employee sickness and reintegration, and the interpretation and application of collective labour agreements (CLAs), always balancing legal nuance with the practical implications for the organisation. Drawing on her previous experience at the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency (UWV), she quickly identifies procedural issues and risks and guides clients through them in a proactive and results-driven manner.

Clients value Marloes for her approachable and solution-oriented style. She responds quickly, communicates clearly, and consistently keeps the broader strategic context in mind. While she is a determined litigator when necessary, her primary focus is on preventing disputes and achieving sustainable solutions.

Marloes completed the Post-Academic Programme in Employment Law (PALA) and successfully obtained her MfN-accredited mediation qualification. This background enables her to effectively facilitate negotiations and de-escalate conflicts. She is also a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN).
