Bas van Driel

Since August 2026, Bas has strengthened the Environmental Law team at Holla legal & tax as an attorney. Specialising in Administrative law, he focuses on matters relating to Environmental and Energy law. Bas advises and represents government authorities, project developers and energy companies on a wide range of legal issues, including those arising under the Energy Act, the Heat Act and the Collective Heat Supply Act.

Bas enjoys tackling complex legal challenges. Through sharp analysis, a keen eye for detail and a creative approach, he delivers clear and well-considered solutions. His experience as a policy advisor to a Provincial Council parliamentary group and as a board member of a political youth organisation has given him a strong understanding of political and administrative decision-making processes.

Having studied both Law and History, Bas looks beyond the legal details alone. He maintains a broad perspective, connects developments across different fields and places legal issues within their wider societal and historical context.
