Risk & Compliance Officer

Anne Hellings

Since March 2024, Anne has been working as a Risk & Compliance Officer at Holla. In this role, she is responsible for a wide range of compliance-related matters, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, GDPR compliance, client and matter acceptance procedures, client due diligence, sanctions screening, and conflict checks.

In addition, she provides advice and drafts documentation relating to internal codes of conduct and policy matters, such as the whistleblower policy.

Anne advises the board on compliance-related issues and delivers the firm’s annual AML training courses.

Compliance involves much more than simply communicating applicable regulations within an organization. It encompasses the monitoring, management, control, and reporting of risks that may impact Holla and its operations.

Anne is known for her meticulous and structured approach to work, with a strong eye for detail. She is regarded as trustworthy, reliable, and highly loyal. She is an attentive listener, enjoys collaborating with others, and strives to find practical solutions within the framework of applicable laws and regulations.

In recent years, compliance has received increasing attention, partly due to the implementation of European directives into national legislation. As a result, the number of compliance obligations has grown significantly. Consequently, the importance of compliance continues to increase, bringing both opportunities and challenges for organizations.
